Michael Matvieshen
President and CEO

Mr. Matvieshen has served in the role of President and CEO since 2003. Prior to founding EPOD, he was President of Wolverine Resources Inc., an oil upgrading refinery owned by the venture capital firm SGGF. Mr. Matvieshen has also served as Vice-President of Gen5 Tech Corporation, in which he managed the construction, capital budgeting and start-up of an oil upgrading facility in Alberta. Mr. Matvieshen has extensive experience in the industrial water and oil treatment industries making fuels for diesel generators, in making base oils for drilling Oil and gas wells and oil for floating potash. He has been in the technology development business for the past 15 years, primarily as an entrepreneur and inventor. He has also been involved in land development and commercial build construction as an investor/owner for the past 23 years

Satpal Sidhu
Chief Operating Officer

Prior to joining EPOD, Mr. Sidhu was the Dean of Professional Technical Education at Bellingham Technical College. Prior to serving in that position, Mr. Sidhu held senior managerial and vice president positions in several manufacturing-related businesses. He has over 30 years of professional experience in management of complex industrial operations, construction projects and enterprise management. In 2005, Mr. Sidhu was designated a Fulbright Scholar, and received a research grant under the Fulbright program. He is a licensed engineer and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, a Bachelor of Science degree in math and physics and a Master’s of Business Administration.

Gordon McKenzie
Controller

Mr. McKenzie oversees the financial activities of the company. He brings 21 years of experience in a variety of industries including retail, food products, technology and manufacturing. He has worked for both private and publicly held companies and has been responsible for internal control process improvements, financial modeling and strategic planning. In addition, he has been responsible for the public reporting of companies on both the TSX and the Nasdaq. Mr. McKenzie is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and holds a Bachelor in Business Administration.

Peter Schriber
Vice-President, Power Development

Mr. Schriber was one of the founding principals of Energy Logics Inc., a wind power development company that built an extensive portfolio of wind projects in Alberta and Montana. He is a registered portfolio manager, and managed a series of investment funds with Asset Logics Capital Management Inc., a BC-based investment fund management company. Prior thereto, Mr. Schriber acted as a proprietary trader with Credit Suisse in Switzerland. Mr. Schriber holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario.
